Updates to Shout Outs(so you don't have read down further):
Grandma's card came. Very nice, a few much needed bucks and a meijer gift card, which is either for gas or booze. Maybe just necessities in general. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa
That's all I can think of, but I'll keep updating, it is kind of unbalanced because I just went to best buy and played with the PS3 move, and I played rock band and so on. I also enjoy it when people think outside the box, so do not feel bound to get me something that is on this list if you find something else you really like (you can always get me both).
Birthday Shout Outs:
As you may or may not know, my birthday was not too long ago, so i thought i would shout out to everyone that got me something and let everyone know what I got.
I'll start with Mom and Dad. First off, they were kind enough to take me and Shannon out to dinner at Pi's, which is simply awesome. They were also kind enough to contribute to a new pair of shoes. I recently ripped my awesome eccos, as you know I wear those shoes all the time unless I am working out or wearing shorts. So I was very happy to be able to replace them with what i hope will last me another five years, like my previous pair did. For those who are wondering, ecco has a one year limited warranty, not including normal wear and tear.
Jon got me four books, which are looking really interesting. He really went out on a limb to get me books that he hasn't even read, so I give him lots of credit, but only because the book look good. If they looked terrible he would get no credit, haha. Thanks Jon, good luck with your Muay Thai (?) and your new spear training, don't break any lights when your swinging it around near the ceiling. . . wear a hard hat.
Lindsey was the only one who celebrated my birthday on my birthday. She made me an awesome steak dinner, with some really great potatoes (recipe please?) and some devilishly tempting brownie fudge sunday, thought I admit I could have done without the brownie and sunday (brownie fudge sunday - brownie - sunday = fudge). She also got me a nice pair of jeans and a zip up striped hoodie, which I think looks great. Thanks Lindsey, the outfit will go great with my new pair of eccos. On another note, I only have one t-shirt that matches the sweatshirt (christmas idea?).
Mr. and Mrs. Black were also kind enough to have dinner with me. They brought over Chinese food and a very very delicious carrot cake. They also bought me the garmin forerunner 305, a gps enabled heart rate monitor. Very useful considering next week I start the second phase of p90x, which will include three cardio workouts a week on top of the normal routine. They also bought me two sweatshirts, one a GVSU sweatshirt, two t-shirts, and a gas card.
Busia sent me a really nice card, which means a lot because she was in the hospital and not feeling well prior to my birthday, so its great that she remembered. It even arrived before my birthday, so I think she is actually the first one to wish me a happy birthday.
Grandma and Grandpa got me a card with a very nice gift card and I think maybe some cash. Unfortunately they sent it to wimbledon and not brookmeadow. I am sure whoever received it will enjoy it for me. I can also only assume that there was some sort of religious pamphlet in there, . . well, thanks for caring enough. Once again, I can only assume whoever got it will put it to good use.
Finally, Shannon got me a. . .i don't remember. . . something really awesome? Well not that great, or I would have remembered what it is. Either way, thanks for loving me, tis the greatest gift a person can receive.
If your still reading this, I apologize that it is so long winded. I guess this is more similar to jon's blogs than I thought (damn, i forgot pictures). So on that note, if I forgot to mention anyone, its only because it's 1:38a.m. and I am tired. I will update this blog as necessary.
Here is your reward for sticking in there. This is a video I found while looking for something to mock Jon again. Unfortunately as I was watching, I actually thought it was kind of cool.
Thanks for stopping by.
You're funny. =)
