Here is the kit that I got from trail-gear.com. Includes gaskets, seals, shims, bearings, washers, and so on. What you see all you need to do one side.
Here is the knuckle and the birfield after I took off the hub, the brake caliper, the spinning disk thing show below and the back plate.
Here is the birfield, after I took it out, that runs through the axle into the axle housing.
Here is the back of one of the knuckles before I replaced the seals and gaskets.
Here is the other side with the new seals and gaskets in the back. Notice it is a lot cleaner and it isn't leaking oil and grease anymore.
Anyways, that's basically it, I also had to replace a caliper on the left side because it was broken. I found out it was broken after I was driving home and I almost started a fire on the left side. That was an easy fix though, I just replaced the caliper and ruined brake pads with the newer older ones from my old frame that is still sitting around. So all in all, lots of fum. Took me two six hour days to do it, plus a third one hour day to put on the caliper and re bleed the brakes. Thanks to Shannon for the good pictures and I hope you found this interesting. If I remember I will post the pic of my ruined brake pad.
Say what you will about that truck. I'm definitely jealous of all the skills and experience you are getting in maintainance and repair. I think that little guy is worth it for that alone, not even taking into account everything else you do with it.
